Peter Robert Russell Wilson , MBE (born September 15, 1986 in Dorchester ) is a retired British marksman .
successes
Peter Wilson competed in shooting competitions in the double trap discipline . In 2010 he became vice European champion in Kazan after winning the junior title in Maribor in 2006 . The following year he took the top position in the world because of his good World Cup results. In 2012 he set a new world record with 198 points at the World Cup in Arizona and took part in the 2012 Olympic Games in London . There he completed the competition in double trap with 188 points ahead of Håkan Dahlby and Wassili Mossin in first place and thus became Olympic champion .
In early 2013 he was named a member of the Order of the British Empire for this success . On October 31, 2014, Wilson announced his resignation.
