Petr Němec (born June 7, 1957 in Ostrava ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach .
Player career
Němec started playing football at Baník Heřmanice. At the age of 15 he moved to Baník Ostrava . His military service, graduated from the midfielder from 1975 to 1977 at Dukla Tábor and then returned to Ostrava back. With Baník Němec won the Czechoslovak championship twice and the Czechoslovak Cup once . In the 1986/87 season he played for the then second division Sklo Union Teplice .
Němec took part in the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow , where he won the gold medal with the Czechoslovakian football team.
In addition, Němec took part in the 1980 European Football Championship in Italy , where he was third with the team. However, the midfielder was not used.

Coaching career
Němec began his coaching career as an assistant to the juniors of Sklo Union Teplice . From 1991 to 1997 he was a coach, sometimes also a player-trainer, at the Austrian amateur club USV Groß-Gerungs. The former midfielder returned to Teplice in 1997 , where he worked as an assistant coach until 2001. From 1998 to 2001 he was the head coach of the B team.
Then Němec went to Poland . In the 2001/02 season he coached Śląsk Wrocław . Further stations of the Czech were Widzew Łódź and KSZO Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski in autumn 2003 and spring 2004. In the 2006/07 season he led Miedź Legnica into the second division and in the 2007/08 season Němec managed to rise to the second highest with Flota Świnoujście Division of the country the 1st division . From July 2011 to November 2012 Němec coached the second division Arka Gdynia . On December 3, 2013 Němec was presented as the new coach of the third division club OKS Odra Opole. In 2014 Němec returned to the Czech Republic. The coach signed with the second division club FK Ústí nad Labem .
