Petra Tamara Fritsche (born 1951 in Altglashütten ) is a German communication scientist and city ​​guide .

Life

Petra Tamara Fritsche grew up in Remscheid . From 1968 to 1971 she did an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and initially worked in this profession, also in Berlin , where she moved in 1972. Here she attended the Academy for Applied Business Administration and graduated in March 1975 with a degree in business administration . In evening schools she got her secondary school diploma and finally the Abitur. This was followed by studies at the Free University of Berlin with the subjects of information and documentation sciences as well as sociology and political science. Since the mid-eighties she worked at the Studentenwerk Berlin and was director of the International Study Center Berlin from 1994 to 2010.

After her professional career, she started working on her dissertation on the subject of stumbling blocks and commemorative culture , which she submitted at the end of 2013. In addition, other publications on Berlin history, architecture and Jewish life were created.

Fritsche makes city tours for scientific institutions such as the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin , school classes, history groups or the Jewish community with a focus on Jewish architects, Jewish artists, resistance fighters, artists in Berlin-Grunewald and Berlin-Friedenau .
