Petra Lamy

Petra Lamy (born April 19, 1961 in Saarbrücken ) is a German actress , musical artist and chanson singer.

Life

After studying Romance studies at Saarland University , Petra Lamy worked as a musical actress and cabaret singer. She appeared in numerous leading and supporting roles in musicals and revue productions all over Germany and abroad. As a chanson singer, she was best known for her Édith Piaf homage. From 1988 she played supporting roles in several Tatort episodes of the Saarländischer Rundfunk. In the late 1990s she played in the Threepenny Opera of Ensemble Modern as Ms. Peachum . From 2016 to 2017 she played the grandma in the musical The Addams Family .

Since 2010 she has been running the private drama school acting and arts on the first floor of the former Neufang brewery .
