Petra Marklund
Petra Linnea Paula Marklund (born September 12, 1984 in Stockholm ), formerly known under the stage name September , is a Swedish singer .
life and career
Petra Marklund signed her record deal in 2003 and released her debut single La La La (Never Give It Up) under the stage name September with great national success. The follow-up singles We Can Do It and September All Over from the September album were all hits.
At the end of 2006, the single Satellites from the album In Orbit was also released in Germany .
On September 1, 2007, September for Sweden took part in the Sopot Festival in Poland and reached third place.
For the fifth Schiller album Sehnsucht (2008), September sang the vocals for the song Breathe as a guest artist .
In 2008, September released their second European album Dancing in Orbit. It includes songs from their albums Dancing Shoes and In Orbit. The first single from the album is the re-release Cry for You , which is based on the Bronski beat hit Smalltown Boy (1984).
Since 2012 she has performed under her real name Petra Marklund and has since focused on songs in Swedish . Her first single Händera mot himlen under a new name was a great success in her home country and immediately rose to number 1 on the digital sales list. The song was in the top 10 of the Svensktoppen hit parade for over a year .
In summer 2014 and 2015, Marklund moderated the Allsång på Skansen program .
