Petra Schubert
Petra Schubert , married Petra Mews , (born January 31, 1968 in Finsterwalde ) is a former German badminton player .
Life
She learned to play badminton in her place of birth Finsterwalde at the local association Aufbau. After the first successes in the youth field, the neighboring association Progress Tröbitz became aware of them and committed them. She won five junior titles for the Niederlausitzer Verein. In 1983 she won her first bronze medal in the adults with the Tröbitzer team, two more followed in 1984 and 1985. In the following three years she had her greatest successes in the individual disciplines with winning silver medals in women's doubles. She won the last of these three medals in 1988 for her new club, Einheit Greifswald , where she also found her future partner in teammate Axel Mew.
Petra Mews now lives in Ratzeburg and works there as a pharmacist.
