The Petrojarl Banff is a ship known as the Floating Production Storage and Offloading Unit .

The ship can produce up to 60,000 barrels of oil a day from a depth of 90 meters. The area of ​​application is the Banff and Kyle oil field located 200 km east of Aberdeen in the North Sea. The production ship has a special, triangular design. The width of the ship is about 45% of the length. It is constructed in such a way that it can withstand a storm of the century at sea.

On the oil field, it is positioned with a revolver-like device in the front third of the ship with ten wires attached to anchors on the seabed.
