Petrowiriwka ( Ukrainian Петровірівка ; Russian Петроверовка Petrowerowka ) is a village in the Ukrainian Odessa Oblast with about 3000 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded in 1814, was called Schowten ( Жовтень ) until 2016 .
Petrowiriwka is the administrative center of the eponymous, 103.18 km² district council in the south of Schyrjajewe Rajon , to which the villages Kostjantyniw ( Костянтинів , ⊙ ) with about 30 inhabitants, Polowe ( Польове , ⊙ ) with about 110 inhabitants and Revova ( Рево) , ⊙ ) with around 360 inhabitants.
Petrowiriwka is located in the valley of the Velykyj Kujalnyk 21 km south of the Rajonzentrum Schyrjajewe and about 100 km north of the Oblast center Odessa .
The regional road P-71 runs through the village and meets the trunk road M 05 north of the village .
