Petrus Schloemp

Petrus Schloemp , also Petrus R. Schlömp (born May 25, 1930 in Wuslack-Heilsberg / East Prussia , today Lidzbark Warmiński , Poland; † April 11, 2014 ) was a German cameraman and actor .

Life

The son of the teacher Alois Schloemp and his wife Helena, b. Heinrich attended high school in his hometown and from 1947 to 1952 a boarding school in Limburg an der Lahn . He then received acting and singing lessons in Düsseldorf . Schloemp then went on tours as a pantomime for years , which took him to France, the Benelux countries, Switzerland and Austria.

In 1957 he came into contact with film and worked in a copy factory . From 1959 he was permanent first camera assistant at Wolf Wirth and co-founder of DOC 59 , from 1960 he also occasionally acted as a camera operator . He started out as a cameraman with short films and then stood behind the camera for several productions of the New German Film . In between he was the main actor in the film Tamara in 1967 . For his camera work in Scarabea - How much earth do people need? he received the gold film tape in 1969 .

At the beginning of the 1970s, Schloemp worked several times in Hollywood and made American thrillers and spy films. After that he worked mainly for television in the Federal Republic of Germany.
