history

The church stands on the foundations of a hall building from the 9th century. The church was initially an own church of the Traungau Ottokare. In a document (1082) the double parish with Weistrach ( Weistrach parish church ) went to Bishop Altmann of Passau (1015-1091) in exchange for Garsten ( Garsten parish church ). The Gothic choir from the 14th century received the late Gothic nave around 1500 . The nave was extended to the west in the 17th century. There are baroque extensions. In 1999, the former late Gothic warehouse building in the west was structurally connected to the parish church as a vestibule with a staircase to the gallery and as a weekday chapel.

The three - bay, three - aisled late Gothic nave is located in the northern line of the wall in the Romanesque core of the 9th century church.

Furnishing

The high altar (1871) is a three-part canopy retable .

The organ was built by the Rieger brothers in Jägerndorf in 1899 .
