The previous building, documented in 1634/1637, was rebuilt in baroque style in 1727/1728 according to the plans of the architect Gallus Gratl. The church was restored in 1970. The parish was founded in 1974.

architecture

The south-facing church with the main front facing the village street has a nave with a transept-like extended south yoke under a shingle-covered gable roof . The main facade facing the street is three-axis with corner pilasters , a main cornice and a volute gable , the central axis is accentuated by a stone- framed round arch portal with a strong wedge stone volute and a large round arched window, flanked on the side with two figure niches with the baroque statues Sebastian and Blasius from the second quarter of the 18th century. Above the portal there is a wall painting of the Way of the Cross, the fresco in the pediment shows the Visitation of the Virgin. The retracted choir closes polygonally. The tower on the east side of the choir has a bell storey set off with cornices with arched sound windows and flat gables to the south and north, the eight-sided tower has a hood with a lantern . The vestry annex is on the west side of the choir .

The interior of the church shows itself as a three-bay nave and two-bay choir with a three-eighth end, each vaulted with lancet barrels on Ionic pilasters with entablature, the vault structure and the window frames were made with profiled stucco strips, above the round triumphal arch is a cartouche with "1727 and renovated 1970". The two-storey wooden gallery shows itself with mastiff balustrades. In the first choir bay there is an oratorio bay above the sacristy portal.

The ceiling painting Trinity , Maria , Franziskus and Sebastian , in the main field of the Assumption , in the stitch caps the four evangelists , and then King David , was painted by Josef Anton Kirchebner in 1825, it was renewed in 1970.

Furnishing

The high altar around 1726 was transferred here from the Regelhaus chapel in Innsbruck. The sheet shows the Visitation of the Virgin Mary by Josef Kirchebner from the end of the 18th century, the corresponding high altar painting of the Annunciation by Johann Georg Dominikus Grasmair is used in Advent . Above the sacrificial portals are the altar figures Josef and Johannes Evangelist by the sculptor Nikolaus Moll 1726. The high altar extract shows God the Father and angels from the middle of the 18th century.
