Catholic parish church of St. Peter and Paul in Bruckhäusl

The Roman Catholic parish church of Bruckhäusl is located in the village of Bruckhäusl in the municipality of Kirchbichl in the Kufstein district in Tyrol . It is consecrated to Saints Peter and Paul and belongs to the Deanery Kufstein in the Archdiocese of Salzburg . The building is under monument protection ( list entry ).

The parish church is on Loferer Straße in the Bruckhäusl district.

history

The first small chapel from 1844 was replaced by a small, simple church in 1937, which received a tower with a pointed helmet in 1953. During the construction of the new church according to plans by Clemens Holzmeister , the old one was demolished piece by piece in 1978 and 1979.

The church was built over a rectangular floor plan with a combined pyramid - gable roof . The rectangular church tower with a pointed helmet was integrated into the west facade. The facades are structured by several projections and recesses. There are three entrances on the west facade and a large round niche above the main portal. The tower has large arched sound openings and three small rectangular windows.

Church interior

A sequence of rooms with a small chapel, a larger hall, an open baptistery and the sacristy with the staircase adjoins the large, rectangular main church space on the west side. The church interior has a wooden folding ceiling and a three-dimensional west wall with the organ gallery. The sanctuary is raised. On the back wall of the altar is a large fresco depicting Saints Peter and Paul.
