The Unteramlach parish church is located in Unteramlach in the municipality of Spittal an der Drau in Carinthia . The Roman Catholic parish church , consecrated to St. Mark , belongs to the Deanery Spittal an der Drau in the diocese of Gurk-Klagenfurt . The church is a listed building ( list entry ).

architecture

The church is a low, single-nave, originally late Gothic building with a polygonal closed choir . In 1756 it was renovated. A wooden roof turret with an onion helmet sits above the eastern end of the nave .

The flat ceiling of the choir comes from the renovation in the 18th century, the ceiling of the nave was renewed later. On the north side of the choir, a late-Gothic, iron-studded door in a rounded and profiled stone wall leads into the sacristy .

Facility

The high altar was built around 1720 and shows St. Mark in the middle picture from the 19th century. God the Father is shown in the top picture.

The church also features a life-size sculpture of St. John Nepomuk made around 1730 , baroque half-length figures of the evangelists and a three -figure , carved, neo-Gothic crucifixion group from the 19th century.

One bell is from the first half of the 15th century.
