Phil Coleman
Phil Coleman (actually Philip Yates Coleman; born July 10, 1931 in Champaign , Illinois ) is a former American obstacle course and middle distance runner .
At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 he was eliminated from over 3000 m obstacle in the preliminary run. In the same discipline he won the Pan American Games in Chicago in 1959 , but did not get past the first round again at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome.
In 1959 and 1960 he was US champion over 3000 m obstacle and 1960 US indoor champion in the mile run .
