Phil Gilbert

Phil Gilbert (* around 1925 ; † 2016 ) was an American jazz trumpeter .

Gilbert played mid-1940s in the big band of Buddy Rich , with 1,947 seats for V-Disc emerged. In the middle of the following decade he was a member of the Stan Kenton Orchestra, with which he also toured Europe. In 1958 he accompanied the singer Anita O'Day ( Sings the Winners ) in the Russ Garcia Orchestra .
