Philip Moscoso (born August 14, 1972 in St. Gallen , Switzerland ) is a Swiss university professor .

Career and research

Philip Moscoso completed the IESE Business School and Executive Education programs at Harvard Business School . He obtained his degree as an engineer and his doctorate in industrial and production science at the ETH Zurich . He then worked for Bain & Co. and KPMG and then accepted the chair for “Excellence in Customer Service” at the IESE Business School.

Since 2004 he has been a full professor in the Department of Operations & Technology Management and visiting professor at the China Europe International Business School . He also holds advisory and supervisory board mandates for companies.

His research analyzes how the excellence and innovation of a company's operation (i.e. performing all of the activities necessary to create value) can be a critical source of competitiveness.

Moscoso published numerous technical articles u. a. in international magazines and business newspapers as well as case studies and technical notes. He won the EFMD award for best case study twice . His research work is regularly quoted in international media and he was also asked about it on television, radio and business newspapers.
