Philipp Bockenheimer
Philipp Bockenheimer (born May 26, 1875 in Frankfurt am Main ; † August 12, 1933 in Frankfurt am Main) was a secret medical adviser , professor of surgery at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin and one of the first alternative travel writers.

His father was Jakob Hermann Bockenheimer (1837–1908), a doctor and clinic founder, still honored in Frankfurt am Main . With Jacob and Alexander Philipp had two brothers. The family came from the Frankfurt suburb of Harheim , in front of whose town house the Harheim Cultural Association had a bust erected in memory of Jakob Hermann Bockenheimer in 1990.

Bockenheimer studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität and became active in the Corps Suevia Heidelberg in 1893 . In 1897 he received his doctorate from the Julius Maximilians University . In addition, he also received his doctorate for Dr. phil. He later worked as an assistant doctor at the Clinic for Surgery at the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin. Habilitated private lecturer since 1907 , he was appointed associate professor for surgery in 1922.
He was married to Charlotte Bockenheimer geb. Conrad (1890-1941).
