Philip IV of Angelach-Angelach

Philip IV of Angelach-Angelach († 1581 in Udenheim ) was an imperial knight in the knight canton of Kraichgau from the family of the Lords of Angelach . He was Vogt of the Bishop of Speyer in Udenheim.

Philip IV was the son of Bernhard III. von Angelach-Angelach and Magdalena von Sternenfels . His brothers were Bernhard IV. (1532–1599) and Georg III. Philipp was married to Ottilia Kämmerer von Worms . The following sons came from this marriage: Hans VII. Friedrich, Hans VIII. Adam, Hans IX. Christoph and Hans X. Philipp († 1608). With Hans Philipp, the Kraichgau branch of the male line died out .

Life

Philip IV. Was at the 1544 University of Heidelberg enrolled . 1556 were the Württemberg Duke Christian Wilhelm VIII. Ange Laughter In laughter , Burkhard II. Ange Laughter In Lach and Philip IV. With the Erpfenhof in Berwangen invested . On January 7th, 1557 Philipp was appointed Faut of the Hochstift Speyer im Bruhrain . He held this office until his death in 1581.

In 1571, Philip IV bought Burkhard II von Angelach's share in Waldangelloch Castle and other properties in and around Waldangelloch .
