Philipp Jakob Huth from Dessendorf

Philipp Jakob Huth, Edler von Dessendorf (born September 25, 1742 in Würzburg , † July 5, 1813 in Munich ; also Philipp Iakob von Huth ) was a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Huth mainly studied theology and law at the universities in Würzburg and Ingolstadt . In Ingolstadt he became a university librarian in 1769 , and received his doctorate in both rights in 1771 . He also obtained a licentiate in theology that year . After completing his studies, Huth became headmaster and professor, first in Mindelheim in 1773 , then in Burghausen in 1774 . As early as 1775 he was appointed canon at the Hochkollegiatstift at the Munich Frauenkirche . The appointment to the electoral real spiritual council took place in the following year.
