Philipp Reimer

Philipp Reimer (* 1982 ) is a German lawyer and has been professor of public law , in particular administrative law , and legal theory at the University of Konstanz since 2020 .

Life

From 2001 to 2005 he studied law at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg with support from the German National Academic Foundation . In 2002/2003 he was a student assistant at the Bucerius Law School (Chair for Public Law IV). In 2006 he passed the first exam . After receiving his doctorate in 2008 at the Free University of Berlin with the dissertation “On the theory of the forms of action of the state” with Christian Pestalozza , supported by the German National Academic Foundation, he passed the second state examination in 2009 .

From 2009 to 2011 Reimer was a lawyer in the public commercial law practice group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Hamburg. From 2011 to 2017 he was a research assistant , from March 2012 Academic Councilor at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg ( Chair for Public Law and Legal Theory , Matthias Jestaedt ) and from April 2015 on leave to act as a professor. From 2015 to 2017 Reimer represented chairs in Munich , Münster , Mainz and Würzburg . After completing his habilitation in public law and legal theory in Freiburg im Breisgau in 2015 with the thesis “Process Theory . An attempt to map the descriptive offerings for legal procedural rules ”he was appointed as a university professor ( salary group W 2) at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn on April 1, 2017 . He has held a chair at the University of Konstanz since 2020.
