The Phuparash ( English Phuparash Peak ) is a mountain in the western Karakoram in the Pakistani special territory Gilgit-Baltistan .
location
The Phuparash is located in the Rakaposhi Haramosh Mountains . The mountain has a height of 6574 m and is part of a ridge that connects Diran in the west with Malubiting in the east . The Miar Chhish is 6 km further west. On the southern flank, the Phuparash glacier flows in a south-westerly direction. On the northern slope is located Miargletscher , a Tributärgletscher of Barpugletschers .
Ascent history
In 1977 a British expedition succeeded in climbing Phuparash for the first time. On August 18th, John Burslem, John Whittock and Dave Robbins reached the summit via the south ridge in alpine style .
