Phyllis Perkins

Phyllis Perkins ( Phyllis Else Maureen Perkins, née Green, second marriage to Winger; born February 22, 1934 in Horfield , Bristol ) is a former British middle-distance runner .

At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960, she was eliminated over 800 m in the preliminary run.

In 1962 she failed at the European Athletics Championships in Belgrade over 800 m in the run and was starting for England at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth fourth over 880 yards .

She was twice English champion over 880 yards (1956, 1963), in the mile run (1954, 1955) and in the cross country run (1951, 1952). In 1962 she became English indoor champion over 600 yards.
