The TSV Neckarau is a sports club from the Mannheim district Neckarau . The club was created in 1946 from the merger of several clubs. In contrast to local rivals VfL Neckarau , TSV did not play high-class football, but only in the district league . The women's team in the soccer department, on the other hand, played in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg from the 2013/14 season to the 2015/16 season and was able to record two appearances in the DFB Cup .

history

The TSV Neckarau emerged in 1946 from a merger of the district clubs FC Viktoria Neckarau and the Free Gymnastics Association Neckarau . In 1926 the Free Gymnastics Association Neckarau and the Viktoria sports association merged to form the Workers Gymnastics and Sports Club Neckarau . While it used to departments for gymnastics , Fistball , and spin Ball was, there are now next to the football department, a table tennis and a Su Thay Doy (Martial Arts) department.

Women's soccer

The women's football department of TSV Neckarau made it to the top division of Baden-Württemberg in 2013. There you could keep the class until 2016 and went back to the Baden Association.
