Pia Wieteck (born May 20, 1965 ) is a German nursing scientist .

At the beginning of her professional career, Pia Wieteck completed her nursing training at the Ingolstadt Clinic . After five years of professional experience in various fields, she completed her training as a teacher for nursing professions at the Catholic Academy for Nursing Professions in Regensburg in 1990 . First, she gained professional experience as a teacher at the Medical School Center of the Ingolstadt Clinic and in the Weissenau State Psychiatric Hospital . From 1995 to 1998 she was the head of the nursing school at the Rinteln District Hospital.

Pia Wieteck completed her studies in nursing science in 2001 at the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt . From 2003 to 2007 she did her doctorate at the University of Witten-Herdecke .

Since 1989, Pia Wieteck has accompanied and managed the development of European Nursing Care Pathways (ENP), a care classification system consisting of care diagnoses, goals and measures for the IT-supported documentation of the care process . She later continued the project as head of the ENP development team. It is also for the translation of the nursing diagnoses of NANDA International co-responsible in the German language.

Focus of work

• Further development and validation of ENP, as well as mapping of ENP with other classifications of the health system such as ICNP, ICD-10 , OPS , PKMS, LEP and criteria of the MDK for determining the care level
• PKMS training and participation in working groups to further develop the portability of care in the DRG system.
• Implementation of certification audits for DQS industry 38 in the hospital and geriatric care sector
• Expert advice on distance learning documents on quality management
• Guest lecturer at the Tyrolean private university UMIT in Hall as well as other freelance lectureships

Research priorities

• Adequate mapping of care in the DRG system, as well as research work on the topic of variance clarification of care time using indicators such as patient conditions and / or care diagnoses
• Accompaniment of research work on ENP or NANDA validation of students from different technical colleges / universities
• Maintenance classifications such as ENP, NANDA-I , ICNP , ICF , LEP , NIC , NOC , POP and SNOMED CT with a focus on: validation work, personnel calculation, case cost calculation and the construction of the systems
• Outcome measurement through the use of data from nursing process documentation with standardized terminology
• Electronic patient record - implementation of standardized terminology in care documentation, the focus is on semantic and syntactic interoperability
• Quality improvement through personnel development , nursing rounds , hermeneutic casework in the elderly care area and implementation of the nursing process
