The Laghi di Gorzente

The Piani di Praglia (in German: Pragliaebenen ) form a plateau in the Italian region of Liguria . They are located at an altitude between 780 and 900 meters above sea level, near the Liguria- Po plain watershed and belong to the metropolitan city of Genoa .

From a geographical point of view, the plateau forms the face of the Valle Stura , while the elevations that surround the basin of the Piani di Praglia separate the valley of the Stura from that of the Polcevera and Gorzente .

The nearby Colla di Praglia (879 meters) is a pass crossing of the Ligurian Apennines and also serves as a stage destination of the high route of the Ligurian mountains . Popular hiking destinations are also the Laghi del Gorzente , Monte delle Figne , Monte Penello and Punta Martin .

traffic

The Piani di Praglia can be reached via the SP4 provincial road from Pontedecimo and Ceranesi . The SP69 also leads from Campo Ligure to the plateau. Further access roads are the SSP165 and 167, which connect Basso Piemonte with the Capanne di Marcarolo . The latter, however, can be closed during the winter months in the section Colla degli Eremiti – Sacrario della Benedicta .
