Campo Ligure ( Ligurian Campo , in the local dialect Càmpu ) is an Italian municipality with 2841 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the metropolitan city of Genoa in the Liguria region and is a member of the association I borghi più belli d'Italia (The most beautiful places in Italy ).

geography

The municipality is located on the banks of the Stura stream at a distance of 37 kilometers from the Ligurian capital, Genoa . The municipal boundaries are in the west at the Beigua Nature Park and in the east on the park boundaries of the Parco delle Capanne di Marcarolo . Together with three other municipalities, Campo Ligure forms the mountain community of Valli Stura e Orba .

According to the Italian classification for seismic activity , Campo Ligure was assigned to zone 3B (on a scale from 1 to 4 and A and B). This means that earthquakes are moderate in the region.
