Fascia is a small Italian municipality in the metropolitan city of Genoa with 65 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).
location
The municipality is located in the Trebbia valley on the upper course of the Cassingheno stream . The distance to the Ligurian capital Genoa is about 56 kilometers.
Near the municipality, in the direction of the Propata commune , is the Parco naturale regional dell'Antola (Antola Regional Natural Park), which mainly includes the slopes of Monte Antola (1596 meters). The nature park is known for a splendid bloom, especially for the Icelandic lichen , the red foxglove and the lung herbs .
As with many municipalities in Val Trebbia , the population of Fascia doubles in summer. This increase is due to the seasonal influx of residents in the Bisagno valley in particular , who are looking for cooler temperatures in the Ligurian Apennines .
Fascia forms the mountain community Alta Val Trebbia with seven other communities .
According to the Italian classification for seismic activity , fascia was assigned to zone 4. This means that the community is in a seismically inert zone.
