Bargagli ( Ligurian Bargagi or Bargaggi ) is an Italian municipality in the metropolitan city of Genoa with 2613 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

The municipality is located in the Ligurian inland in the Bisagno valley , whose stream of the same name flows through the neighboring municipality of Davagna . The distance to the regional capital Genoa is around 18 kilometers. Bargagli belongs to the Comunità Montana Fontanabuona and is also the largest town in the Lentro valley .

The highest mountain peak in the area is the Monte Bragalla (900 meters), which was formerly also called Barcalla or Bargalla and from which the name of the municipality is derived.

The territory of Bargagli is divided into five districts: Cisiano, Maxena, Terrusso, Traso and Viganego . There are also the settlements of La Presa, Trapena, Eo, Casa Comunale, Molino, Vaxe, Vigo, Cevasco, Miana, Ferretto, Mercato, San Lorenzo, Canova, Bragalla, Portiglia, Borgonuovo, Pian Serreto, Ospedale and Sant'Alberto .
