Busalla ( Ligurian Bûsalla ) is a city in the Italian metropolitan city of Genoa with 5392 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Busalla is located in the Scrivia valley in the Ligurian Apennines . The territory of the city is divided into two halves by the Scrivia River , on the left of which is the city center. The three settlements of Camarza , Sarissola and Semino , which belong to the municipality , are on the right bank and are traversed by the Seminella stream. In addition, there is the Lago della Busalletta reservoir , which supplies both the municipality itself and the regional capital Genoa with drinking water.

The city is part of the Comunità Montana Alta Valle Scrivia and at the same time belongs to the Parco naturale regional dell'Antola (Antola Regional Nature Park).

According to the Italian classification for seismic activity , Busalla has been assigned to zone 4. This means that the city is in a seismically inert zone.
