The name Piekiełko can be translated as Little Hell . The name comes from the steep alpine meadows on its slopes, where bad luck was won and which were referred to as the Big and Little Hell. Sometimes it is also assumed that the Polish Brothers had houses of worship in the Pieninen at the beginning of the 17th century and the name can be traced back to them.
