Piel Weichs is a district of the city of Plattling . The church village is located in Lower Bavaria in the Deggendorf district . Due to the incorporation on July 1, 1971, Piel Weichs lost its administrative independence.

Piel Weichs was created around the St. Stephanus branch church . It is looked after by the parish of St. Magdalena Plattling. In recent years the place has grown strongly due to the construction area on Steinfeld. Since the summer of 2006, the new “Piel Weichser Feld” building area has been designated. Piel Weichs is now a purely residential area. Shops can be reached quickly on foot and by bike.

For cyclists, the Isar cycle path leads through the village. Drivers are on the federal motorway 92 Munich - Deggendorf in about three minutes .

There has been a volunteer fire brigade in the village since 1894, as well as the cycling and hiking club. Ice stock sport is very popular in winter on the numerous oxbow lakes and gravel lakes around the town.

The Isar is located in the southeast of the district . This is used there by the Piel Weichs hydropower plant to generate electricity.
