Pier Luigi Nava

Pier Luigi Nava SMM (born July 7, 1953 in Leffe , Bergamo province ) is an Italian religious priest . He is Undersecretary of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life .

Life

Pier Luigi Nava joined the religious order of the Montfortans , in which he made perpetual profession on April 28, 1978 . On March 17, 1979, he received the sacrament of ordination . In 1980 he bought in Rome at the Lateran University , the licentiate in canon law . He was active within the order in various areas and in parish pastoral care in Rome. Since 1996 he has been an advisor to the Presidential Council and the Order Commission of the Italian Bishops' Conference . He is a lecturer at the Pontifical Faculty of Education “Auxilium” in Rome (Pontificia Facoltà di Scienze dell'Educazione Auxilium). Since 2014 he has also been the Consultor of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life . Pope Francis appointed him undersecretary of this congregation on November 27, 2018.
