Pierre-Eugène Rouanet
Pierre-Eugène Rouanet SMA (born November 16, 1917 in La Richarde, Mazamet , † February 4, 2012 in Montpellier ) was a French religious , missionary and Roman Catholic bishop of Daloa .
Life
Pierre-Eugène Rouanet joined the religious order of the Society of African Missions (White Fathers) in Lyon and was ordained a priest on July 4, 1948 . He then became a missionary to the Ivory Coast .
Pope Pius XII appointed him on July 4, 1956 bishop of the Diocese of Daloa. The Bishop of Carcassonne , Pierre-Marie-Joseph Puech , donated him episcopal ordination on December 27, 1956 ; Co - consecrators were Jean-Baptiste Boivin SMA, Archbishop of Abidjan , and Emile Durrheimer SMA, Bishop of Katiola . Rouanet was the council father of all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
On November 20, 1975, Pope Paul VI. his age-related retirement.
