Pierre Charles Bouvier (born May 9, 1979 in L'Île-Bizard , Québec ) is a French-Canadian musician who is known as the front singer of the pop-punk band Simple Plan .

Career

Bouvier is the son of Réal and Louise Bouvier and has two older brothers, Jay and Jonathan. He attended the Collège Beaubois in Pierrefonds , Montreal West Island with his bandmates Chuck Comeau, Jeff Stinco and Sébastien Lefebvre. Before starting his music career, Bouvier worked as a chef in the St-Hubert restaurant chain in Montréal .

At the age of 13 he founded the punk rock band Reset with his friend Chuck Comeau, in which he was the bassist and lead singer. He left Reset in 1999, and Chuck Comeau a year later. His current bandmate David Desrosiers took his place. Then he met Chuck Comeau again at a Sugar Ray concert and founded Simple Plan with Comeau and old school friends Jeff Stinco and Sébastien Lefebvre. David Desrosiers also left Reset and joined the new band.

He is co-owner of the Role Model Clothing brand , along with Chuck Comeau and Patrick Langlois . He also moderated the MTV reality show Damage Control .
