Pierre Gaschy
Marie Pierre François Auguste Gaschy CSSp (born June 26, 1941 in Colmar , France ) is a French religious and emeritus Vicar Apostolic of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon .
Life
On December 14, 1968, Gaschy made his professorship in the Spiritan Order and was ordained a priest on July 6, 1969 .
On June 19, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Usinaza and Apostolic Vicar of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon. The episcopal ordination donated to him the Bishop of Metz , Pierre René Ferdinand Raffin OP on October 11th of the same year; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Strasbourg , Jean-Pierre Grallet OFM , and his predecessor as Apostolic Vicar, Bishop Lucien Prosper Ernest Fischer CSSp.
On March 1, 2018, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation and at the same time incorporated the previous Apostolic Vicariate into the diocese of La Rochelle .
