Pierre Jolivet
Pierre Jolivet (born October 9, 1952 in Saint-Mandé ) is a French director , screenwriter and actor .
Life
Pierre Jolivet is the brother of the French actor Marc Jolivet. Together with him he performed during the time of the student unrest in France with an improvisational theater in factories on strike . From the mid-1970s they were very popular as the comedian duo "Recho et Frigo" on radio and television, but ended this form of collaboration in the early 1980s.
For the first time he was nominated for the French César film award in 1986 for his directorial work in Streng personally in the category of best first work . For his film The Price of Freedom , he was 1990 again nominated (along with Olivier Schatzky ) for Best Screenplay .
He celebrated his greatest success with critics and film audiences in 1999 with the crime comedy Alles für die Firma (original Ma petite entreprise ).
In Germany, it was mainly through the films Fatal Alibi (original En plein coeur ) - a story about the relationship between the casual thief, played by Virginie Ledoyen and her defense lawyer and Can that be love? (original Je crois que je l'aime ) - a love comedy about a control-addicted manager and a freedom-loving artist - known as Sandrine Bonnaire and Vincent Lindon .
His film Zim and Co. , a story of friendship between four adolescents who are on probation, received three nominations at the Cannes International Film Festival . His son Adrien Jolivet also starred in this film.
He often collaborates with actors Vincent Lindon, François Berléand and Roschdy Zem in his films .
