Pierre Miquel , actually Pierre Gabriel Roger Miquel (born June 30, 1930 in Montluçon , Allier department , † November 26, 2007 in Boulogne-Billancourt , Hauts-de-Seine department ) was a French historian and author .

life and work

Pierre Miquel was a history professor at the Sorbonne in Paris and published over 100 books. With the work "Histoire de la France", an outline of French history, he became internationally known in 1976. In 2005 he published the work “Europe's Last Kings. The monarchies in the 20th century ”.
