Pietro Pace

Pietro Pace ( Latin Petrus Pace ; born April 9, 1831 in Rabat , Gozo ; † July 29, 1914 ibid) was a Maltese Roman Catholic clergyman, Bishop of Gozo and Bishop of Malta .

Life

The ordination received Pietro Pace on 17 December. 1853

Pope Pius IX appointed him on March 17, 1877 bishop of Gozo. He received his episcopal ordination on April 8 of the same year in the Roman church of San Carlo al Corso Edward Cardinal Howard ; Co- consecrators were William George McCloskey , Bishop of Louisville , and Archbishop Francesco Folicaldi . The inauguration took place on July 2, 1877.

On February 10, 1889, Pietro Pace was appointed Bishop of Malta and at the same time made titular Archbishop of Rhodes .

He died at the age of 83 in his hometown of Rabat, Gozo, also known as Victoria.
