List of grape varieties

Pinello is an autochthonous grape variety that is only grown in the Euganean Hills of the Veneto region in northeastern Italy on predominantly calcareous, volcanic soils in mostly southern slopes and valleys. A light, fruity sparkling wine ( Italian : vino frizzante ) and a sparkling wine (Italian: Spumante ), which bear the same name as the grape variety (fully: Colli Euganei DOC Pinello ) , are mainly made from this white wine variety from the DOC wine- growing region of Colli Euganei .

Synonyms

The Pinello grape variety may be identical to the Pinella variety . Then the terms Mattozza, Pinella, Pinela, Pinjela, Pinola and Vipavka would be synonyms for the Pinello grape variety.

character

According to the self-marketing understanding of their producers, the Pinello is of a “matt straw yellow” color with a fruity-floral fragrance and fruity taste, light and slightly acidic (dry). Its alcohol content is between 10 and 11 percent. Because of its sparkling freshness, local winemakers recommend it as a summer aperitif wine, with antipasti and light dishes, especially with fish and white meat, to be served at a temperature of around 10 ° C.
