Pingshan ( Chinese 坪山 新区 , Pinyin Píngshān Xīnqū ) is a "New District " of the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province . It was founded on June 30, 2009. It is a so-called “functional” city district, an administrative division of the second degree, ie a “city funding authority”.
