Pingshan (Shijiazhuang)

Pingshan ( 平山县 , Píngshān Xiàn ) is a district in the prefecture of Shijiazhuang in the Chinese province of Hebei . In 1999 it had 447,843 inhabitants.

The former seat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in the village of Xibaipo (1949) ( Xibaipo Zhong-Gong zhongyang jiuzhi西柏坡 中共中央 旧址), the site of the old city of Zhongshan ( Zhongshan gucheng yizhi中山 古城 遗址) - the capital of Zhongshan State in the Warring States period with the mausoleum of the King of Zhongshan in Pingshan - as well as the pagoda forest of the Wanshou Temple ( Wanshou si ta lin万寿寺 塔林), a Buddhist temple from the time of the Tang Dynasty , are on the list of monuments of the People's Republic China .

Administrative structure

At the community level, the district is made up of twelve large communities and eleven communities.
