Piotr Ćwielong (born April 23, 1986 in Chorzów ) is a former Polish football player .
Career
society
From 2004 to 2007 Ćwielong played in the second division for Ruch Chorzów . In the summer of 2007 he was signed by Wisła Krakow . In the first half of the 2007/08 season in the Ekstraklasa , he came on six missions and scored no goal. So at the beginning of the second half of the season he was loaned to Ruch Chorzów for a year, who now also played in the Ekstraklasa. In January 2009 he returned to Wisła Krakow and in summer 2009 he won the Polish championship again. A year later he moved to league rivals Śląsk Wrocław . In 2012 he became Polish champion for the third time.
For the 2013/14 season Ćwielong moved to the German second division club VfL Bochum on a free transfer . He signed a contract that ran until the end of June 2017.
For the 2016/17 season he returned to his former club Ruch Chorzów . He left the club again during the winter break and moved to 1. FC Magdeburg in the 3rd division in January 2017 . Ćwielong also left 1. FC Magdeburg after six months and moved to the Polish second division club GKS Tychy in the summer of 2017 . On January 31, 2019, he ended his active career there after suffering an Achilles tendon tear in autumn.
National team
Ćwielong played for the U-18, U-19 and U-21 of the Polish Football Association .
On November 8, 2013, he was appointed for the first time by national coach Adam Nawałka in the squad of the Polish national football team. He made his debut in the friendly against Ireland on November 19, 2013.
