Piotr Lenar

Piotr Lenar (born March 13, 1958 in Krakow ) is a Polish cameraman . Since 1990 he has also lived and worked in Germany.

Piotr Lenar studied camera directing at the Łódź Film School in the 1980s . In the 1990s he worked with Jan Jakub Kolski . The film Jańcio Wodnik (1993) (German: Jancio the Aquarius ) was one of the most important Polish films of the 1990s. Lenar has worked with Urs Odermatt , Thomas Jahn , Dieter Wedel and Lenhard Fritz Krawinkel in Germany. His camera work for Michael F. Huse also took him to the USA.

He is a member of the European Film Academy , the Cinematography Professional Association and the Polish Society of Cinematographers (PSC). In 2010 he founded the film school AMA Film Academy in Krakow .
