Piotr Pawlukiewicz (born April 10, 1960 in Warsaw ; † March 20, 2020 there ) was a Polish theologian , Roman Catholic priest , well-known preacher and author .

Life

Pawlukiewicz studied pastoral theology at the Catholic University of Lublin , homiletics at the Pontifical Academy of Theology in Cracow and rhetoric at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. On June 2, 1985, he was ordained a priest . In Warsaw he received his doctorate in pastoral theology . He worked in pastoral care and was editor-in-chief of Radio Józef in Warsaw from 1996 to 1998 . He was main preacher in the Basilica of the Holy Cross in Warsaw, preacher in the student church of St. Anna and moderated the program Katechizm Poręczny (mobile phone catechism) on Radio Plus Warszawa . He taught homiletics at the Warsaw seminary . Pawlukiewicz was a canon of the Warsaw Metropolitan Chapter and chaplain in the Sejm and Senate of the Republic of Poland .

Piotr Pawlukiewicz was an author of religious books and audio books. He struggled with Parkinson's disease for years and died at the age of 59.
