Pirate Captain Mary (original title: Le avventure di Mary Read ) is a Franco-Italian pirate film. The film, directed by Umberto Lenzi in 1961 , was shown in German cinemas from February 1, 1963.

action

Mary (disguised as a man) is caught robbing and goes to jail. There she meets Lord Peter Goodwin. After breaking out of prison, Mary hires on the infamous pirate ship of Captain Poof. Mary soon takes command there and goes on a pirate trip. The king's sea troops want to destroy the ship. The captain of a warship happens to be Peter Goodwin, who unexpectedly meets Mary again.
