Pitvalid (2008)

Pitvalid ['pitvalit] (born May 7, 1981 in Villingen-Schwenningen ; civil: Valentin Rövenstrunck ) is a German rapper and singer. He is part of the Mala Hierba music forum . Together with his partner Sush, he formed the Übermassiv crew until his death, and since 1999 he and Dj Havo have been part of the Das Extrakt crew .

At the beginning of 2007 he also founded “Team Supreme” with Unkle Massive, a project that focuses more on breakbeats. In 2013 he founded the band PIRO .

Career

In 1998, Pit started MCing . As Das Extrakt , he performed together with DJ Havo and (then still) T.mo, mainly at Club Walters in Albstadt. The first recordings on CD were made in 2001 on the Trickkiste sampler .

In 2003 he became a member of the Mala Hierba Music Forum . The first recordings were made in the WDSR studios , and four weeks later Pitvalid moved to Überlingen to advance work on projects. Since 2003 he has also been represented in the Reimliga Battle Arena (RBA), in which he achieved first place in 2005. In mid-2006, however, he announced his exit from the league.

In the meantime Pitvalid had numerous appearances in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The highlights so far have been the support for Afu-Ra , the EFX , various appearances at festivals and the appearances in the framework of the jam session contest 2006/2007 .

Pitvalid continued to develop his style. In addition to the double and triple timer raps, Pit is best known for its mix of new school breaks, electro, reggae and rap. He mostly raps in German.

After the EP True Colors in spring 2006, Pitvalid released his debut album Chamäleon on August 31, 2006 .

On November 3rd, 2006 Pitvalid won the first round of the jam session contest 2006/2007 and thus qualified for the semi-finals south on March 3rd, 2007 in Fellbach, where he finished second.

To mark the fifth anniversary of the release of the album Chamäleon, Pitvalid released his new album Pitrock on August 31, 2011.

Pitvalid publishes its works on the website of its label BSOLID and on the Internet platform Jamendo mostly under a Creative Commons license . The album Chamäleon was also subsequently placed under a CC-BY-SA license at Christmas 2008.

Pitvalid has lived in Berlin since 2008.
