Afu-Ra (born January 31, 1973 in New York City , New York ; real name Aaron Phillip ) is a rapper from New York. His entry into the hip-hop business began in 1994 when he appeared on the debut album The Sun Rises In The East by his flat-share colleague Jeru The Damaja .

biography

Through Jeru The Damaja he got to know the Gang Starr Foundation. In 1996 Afu-Ra took part in Jeru's second album. He then started his solo career with the album Body Of The Lifeforce , which was produced by DJ Premier (Gang Starr), DJ Muggs ( Cypress Hill ) and Beatminerz. Numerous well-known rappers such as Masta Killa , MOP , Smif-N-Wessun , GZA and Ky-Mani Marley rapped on this record .

In 2002 his second album Life Force Radio was released , which was also a commercial success.
