The Piz Lad ( [ˌpitsˈlat] ? / I , also Piz Lat , Rhaeto-Romanic in the idiom Vallader for "broad peak", 2808  m slm ) is a summit of the Sesvenna group and marks the northern end point of this mountain part. It lies above the Inn Valley in the west and the Reschen Pass in the east, and Lake Reschensee in the southeast . The mountain slopes steeply to the north and towards the Inn valley, and towards Lake Reschen it shows only a moderately sloping flank. The summit itself is on the border between Italy and Switzerland , about 750 meters north of the summit, at an altitude of 2180  m, is the triangle where this border meets the Austrian one.Audio file / audio sample

The easiest ascent leads from Reschen over the Reschener Alm ( 2020  m ) on a marked trail. The summit cross is located at the northeast end of the ridge at an altitude of 2784  m , in the fairly flat ridge to the southwest there are two more approximately equal elevations, of which the one further southwest marks the highest point. The path is passable up to the Reschener Alm , from there it is 2½ hours to the summit. The promising mountain is visited quite often and is also popular as a ski tour .
