The Pizzo Rotondo is 3192  m above sea level. M. the highest mountain of the Gotthard massif in the Lepontine Alps . It is located north of the Bedretto valley in Ticino and southeast of the Geretal valley in the canton of Valais on the canton border.

To the north of Pizzo Rotondo lies the Geren Glacier .
