Pyotr Antonovich Boreischa ( Russian Пётр Антонович Борейша * 1835 in Mogilev Governorate , † January 3 . Jul / 16th January  1904 greg. In St. Petersburg ) was a Russian traffic engineer and entrepreneur .

Life

Boreischa came from an old noble family . His grandfather Pyotr Bonifatjewitsch Boreischa was director of the traffic department of the traffic administration. His father Anton Petrowitsch Boreischa (1802-1875) served in the traffic engineer cadet corps .

In accordance with family tradition, Boreischa trained at the Institute of the Transport Engineers Cadet Corps in St. Petersburg and then entered the civil service as a member of this corps.

1869–1870 Boreischa was chief engineer for the construction of the railway line from Rybinsk to Bologoje . Under his direction, a pontoon bridge was set up over the Volga , which was used during the construction of the bridge between Myshkin and Mologa . From 1872–1874 he headed the construction of the railway line from Morshansk to Syzran as chief engineer . In 1878 he became a merchant of the 1st guild in St. Petersburg. He participated in the construction of the war port of Libau , the sea canal to St. Petersburg (planned and managed by NI Putilow ), the commercial port of Mariupol and the reconstruction of the Kronstadt fortress with the construction of the forts Count Totleben and Obruchev . He also emerged with projects on the waterways of Libau, St. Petersburg and Port Arthur .

Boreischa was buried in the crypt of the Church of the Holy Martyr Ekaterina in the village of Lsi near Krestzy, as was his wife Ekaterina Andreevna, nee. Salova and his daughter Marija. In 1927 the tomb was opened and destroyed in search of hidden jewelry. Parts of the Salow-Boreischa-Hof in Lsi have been preserved.
